Our annual beginners course introduces Kendo, its etiquette and basic skills, to individuals from
13 years old and up who have an interest in learning Japanese fencing.
Beginners learn cutting basics, ettiquette, footwork, equipment care, target areas and specific points regarding giving and receiving strikes, as well as other aspects. Kendo study also involves predetermined exercises – some of the basic Kendo techniques – so a selection of these are also taught.
To join the beginners course, simply register your interest via email.
